District 29 Races

I-20 Motorsports will have 4 AMA District 29 MX races for 2008.

Click here to see all of the 2008 Events and Race Dates.

At all races, 85"D" class riders WILL be allowed to run other classes.  They will NOT be allowed to run a higher skill class such as "C" class, but they are eligible for classes such as Schoolboy, Unlimited C/D, 65cc Unlimited and other non skill level specific classes.

There will be NO series awards for any "D" class in 2008.  The "D" class was created for riders to gain experience and then move up.  Since I-20 runs it's series based on a calendar year, many riders are being allowed to stay in the "D" class longer than the rules originally intended.

Information regarding "D" class promotions

After much discussion, review and consideration, rider advancement from the "D" class to the "C" class will be based on the following:

D class riders will be promoted after a total of two wins, four top two finishes, or six top three finishes, PROVIDED, there are at least eight entrants in their class on the day the results are earned. If there are less than eight entrants, the competition will be considered to be unsuitable for judging the skill level for that day, thus the results from that race will not be counted towards promotion. Also, you may run more than one D class, however, results from both classes will be counted against your total.

Since we post all race results, anyone can look at the information and guidelines we use to see if rider advancement is necessary.  If there is a rider you feel that meets these guidelines and is not promoted, email the rider's name by clicking here and we will review his results.  Keep in mind, there must be at least eight competitors in the ride's class for any day the results are used towards advancement.
